VOŁOSI have performed over 950 concerts around the world. The band was formed in the heart of the Polish mountains, born from an unexpected encounter between local folk musicians and contemporary artists from Silesia.
Driven by curiosity, they were led into untamed, wild improvisation sessions. Diversity shaped their style, which spans everything from hauntingly beautiful, memorable melodies to ecstatic musical frenzy. You can hear traces of rock, punk, jazz, and film music, enriched with ambient passages—yet the fact that all of this is performed exclusively on string instruments makes them a true phenomenon.
The strength of VOŁOSI lies in the way they unleash emotions: thrilling, playful, moving, intense, calming, unsettling, and ultimately deeply satisfying. This unique blend creates an experience that is both liberating and unforgettable.
