Icelandic-Scottish soprano Hannah Morrison studied voice and piano at Maastricht Conservatory, pursued her training at the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne, and obtained a Masters in Music Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Her work, which focuses on concert and oratorio singing, has taken her across Europe and further on to North America and Japan, performing under the direction of Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Masaaki Suzuki, Philippe Herreweghe, Paul Agnew, Herbert Blomstedt, Christophe Rousset, Václav Luks, and Peter Dijkstra, among others.
Hannah’s repertoire covers a broad spectrum: reaching from the music of the Renaissance and Baroque – like works by Monteverdi, Gesualdo and J.S. Bach - and into the Classical period with works by J. Haydn, W.A. Mozart, F. Mendelssohn and Schumann. In addition to her concert activity, Hannah devotes her time to Lied.
She lives with her family in Cologne.
